2018 Iowa Scrimmage
As Team Neutrino’s first attended event with their new robot, the Iowa Scrimmage serves as a get together of all Iowa teams to test their robot on a field similar to ones to be used at competition. The event happens just before robots must be bagged, so teams can make any last minute changes before competitions. The event is held in Cedar Falls by the SWARTDOGS, team 525 (You can check them out here). Team members worked through the day testing and modifying prototypes and were successfully able to deliver Power Cubes to the scale, switch, and human player.
Make sure to keep an eye out on our YouTube channel for our upcoming reveal video!
2018 PowerUp Robot Reveal
Team Neutrino has been working hard over the past couple weeks to complete a robot to compete in FIRST’s 2018 PowerUp game. Although there were some large challenges that needed to be overcome, the team persevered, and would like you to see this year’s robot! The event will be at the Biorenewable’s Complex Atrium, ISU Campus 605 Bissell Rd this Sunday, February 18th from 6:00PM-7:30PM. Everyone is welcome, and we hope to see you there!
CowTown Throwdown 2017
As Team Neutrino’s final offseason competition for Steamworks, we attended CowTown Throwdown for the 7th year. CowTown provides a great opportunity for new members to learn about the insanity of competitions, such as scouting and driving. We ran in competitions Friday through Saturday. The first day of the competition saw no wins for the team, but on the second day of the competition, with some minor changes to the robot, we won every qualification match but one, ranking us 24th out of 50 teams. In alliance selection, we were picked by the 2nd seed alliance as 2nd pick, with alliance captain 2410 and other alliance members 1730 and 3593. Our alliance was eliminated in the quarterfinals, but everyone on the team had a great time at the event. You can go here to watch the live stream from the event.
