2026 Kickoff

On Saturday, January 10th, Team Neutrino came together to dig into the new FRC game: REBUILT! The day started with watching the kickoff broadcast from FIRST, where the game manual passcode was given out. With the manual, we split into different groups, reading rules and coming up with strategies to discuss in the large group. By the end of the day, we brainstormed robot actions to add to a list of our needs, wants, nice-to-haves, and no’s, which will serve as a guide and be edited over the course of our build season.

Onshape Learning

This off-season, our team is going through the process of switching our CAD software from SolidWorks to Onshape. We made this decision due to Onshape’s increased accessibility and learning tools, allowing members to work from home, so we can grow as a team. Our CAD will also be easier to access during competitions, which will help our pit crew with repairs. Returning design members have been working through Onshape learning courses both in their free time and in weekly design meetings. During CAD camp, new members also started learning Onshape, and they are now attending the weekly design meetings.

We are excited to continue developing our CAD skills with Onshape!

Des Moines Mini Maker Faire 2025

On April 26, 2025, Team Neutrino went to the Science Center of Iowa to teach a soldering workshop and demonstrate our robot. This was a great opportunity to share our teams’ projects such as our FLL Blastoff! summer camp and broaden our reach to more STEM interested communities. There, we collaborated with #6419 FRC Team ICE, #18050 FTC Team Photon, #16736 FTC Atomic Narwhals, and other FLL teams within our community to share FIRST’s mission and demonstrate it at all levels.
