On August 13th, Neutrino members set up an outreach booth at the Workiva facility to showcase our robot. Members engaged with passing by Workiva employees, explaining and answering questions about our team through presenting the game and touring the robot.
Thank you, Workiva, for sponsoring our team and supporting our mission!
On August 5th, Team Neutrino proudly showcased our innovative robot to representatives from John Deere, a renowned leader in the manufacturing of agricultural machinery. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as we demonstrated the impressive capabilities of our robot, highlighting its sophisticated arm, versatile elevator, and agile swerve mechanism. Engaging with multiple John Deere employees, we not only answered their insightful questions but also posed our own to foster a collaborative discussion. The exchange was vibrant, allowing us to delve deeper into the possibilities of integrating our technology with their agricultural solutions.
Thank you, John Deere, for sponsoring and supporting us (also gifting us ice cream)!
From August 5th to 7th, incoming students participated in Team Neutrino’s first Scouting Camp to learn more about the Scouting Subteam and its operations. For three days, students learned how to collect and analyze data, navigate the scouting app, create app layouts, and code with HTML. Thank you to those who attended, and we look forward to seeing you apply these skills in the future!
On July 16, Team Neutrino members volunteered at the annual Story County Fair! In three shifts, team members had a fun time serving food to customers, welcoming fair-goers, and supervising the buildings. Thank you to 4H for hosting, and those who helped out!
During the week of July 14th, incoming students built upon their programming skills at Team Neutrino’s Intro Programming Camp. Returning members led presentations about Java and FRC programming, and students developed their understanding of these topics by completing various practice problems. Later in the week, students began to try out code on test boards, lighting up LEDs and running motors. On the last day, campers were even able to test their code on our robot elevator!
Thank you to the students who attended. We look forward to seeing you apply these skills in the future!
