All-Iowa Scrimmage
I apologize for the lateness of this post, but building a robot takes a lot of time. Last Saturday, we were invited by 525 Swartdogs to participate in the All-Iowa scrimmage. This was a great time to test out our robot, practice driving, and see other Iowa teams’ robots. While our robot was broken for most of the day, we learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Thanks Swartdogs!
Upcoming Robot Reveal
Sponsors, alumni, friends, family, you are all invited to Team Neutrino’s 2015 Robot Reveal for this year’s game, Recycle Rush! Please see our invitation for details. Thank you all for your support this season!
FLL State Championship Outreach
On Saturday, our team outreached at the FLL state championship. We showed last year’s robot and talked about FRC. During judges’ deliberations, we gave a presentation with 525 Swartdogs. This opportunity let us outreach to hundreds of kids interested in science and technology.
2015 Game: Recycle Rush
This year’s game is called Recycle Rush. Recycle Rush is a recycling-themed game played by two Alliances of three robots each. Robots score points by stacking totes on scoring platforms, capping those stacks with recycling containers, and properly disposing of pool noodles, representing litter.
This is the game video introducing this year’s game.
We made good use of kickoff day. After watching the kickoff broadcast, we read through the rules and strategized.
