Mock Kickoff and Monday Discussion

On December 11th, Team Neutrino hosted a mock kickoff meeting to prepare team members for the upcoming 2026 FRC season. Students were first split into groups to analyze parts of the 2020 Infinite Recharge game manual. The information each group considered most important from their respective sections was then put into lists for the other groups to see and understand. The students then conversed within their groups about strategy for the Infinite Recharge game based on the information they learned. They answered questions about point scoring, arena maneuvering vulnerability, and more. Based on their answers to the questions, the team members came together and decided on needs, want, nice-to-haves, and no’s in their strategy for the 2020 game. Together, they had fun, discussed different possibilities for strategy, and developed a better understanding of how Team Neutrino’s real kickoff day will look like in January.

On December 18th, Team Neutrino held a mock Monday discussion to begin discussing the collaboration of strategy and design. Together, the team reviewed their strategy for the Infinite Recharge game manual. Then, the team members split into groups to brainstorm ideas for robot design, based on their strategy. Within their groups, they discussed robot design option, such as what shooter design to use and how would the robot intake the game pieces. After gaining a good understanding of their best idea and creating a example sketch, each group shared their thoughts with the rest of the team. Through team discussion, they collaborated to develop an idea of what the best design would be for the 2020 Infinite Recharge game.

Thanks to these team meetings, team members feel more prepared for what to expect during the beginning of our 2026 build season on January 10th!
