What is your past experience in FIRST?
I was in FLL for the 2007 (Power Puzzle) and 2008 (Climate Connections) seasons. After middle school, I started volunteering at the Iowa FIRST Lego League State Championship at the information desk.
What are you looking forward to most this season?
To evade other robots and climb the pyramid using our classified technology.
What do you hope to learn and do this season?
To learn how to use all the machines in the shop and get better at Mastercam and the CNC Mill.

David R. – Co-Captain

What is your past experience in FIRST?
I was in FLL for the 2006 (Nano Quest) and 2007 (Power Puzzle) seasons. I helped to start 5 FLL teams going at my middle school that have been going strong since 2007. I also won 1st place for Robot Performance and 1st place for Robot Programming for my innovative use of a touch sensor in my programming at state championships during the NanoQuest Season.
What are you looking forward to most this season?
I absolutely love the atmosphere of the FIRST Robotics Competition. I went to Cow Town Throwdown and LOVED my first experience of FRC. I can’t wait to go to the regionals. I also am looking forward to working in the shop and getting to know the other team members.
What do you hope to learn and do this season?
I want to learn how to use the different machines in the shop. I would also like use my leadership skills I have learned in my 4-H career and hopefully get a high leadership position on the team in my first and final year of FRC.

What are you looking forward to most this season?
I am looking forward to building the robot and seeing how everything comes together for the final product. I also am looking forward to getting to know everyone on the team.

I want to learn about how the robot functions and becomes successful. I hope to learn what it takes to build a great robot.

The thing i am looking forward to most in this season is seeing the robot all assembled and driving around and competition.

What is your past experience in FIRST?
In 8th grade i was on a FIRST lego league. Started in FIRST tech challenge during my freshmen year. I joined 3928 during my junior year when the team first started.
What are you looking forward to most this season?
I’m looking forward to going competition and hopefully champs. Working with the team and finishing with enough time to prepare the drive team.
What do you hope to learn and do this season?
Mostly what i want to learn is how to use most of the tools in the shop and some little business skills.

FLL–Flying Monkeys since 2009. 2009 Rookie Award at regionals, went to State. 2010 Creative Solution Award at Regionals and Innovation Award at State. Inaugural Global Innovation Award winner and X PRIZE Foundation Grant recipient. 2011 worked on X PRIZE Grant requirements, patenting project and presenting project at 2012 WH Science Fair and Rio +20 UN Conference.

What is your past experience in FIRST?
Last year was my first year to be a part of FIRST. I was on an FLL team at Ames Middle School, and I had a lot of fun getting to know new people through our project and the robot.
What are you looking forward to most this season?
I am looking forward to getting to use the shop tools to build the robot this season, and I can’t wait to see what the game is for this year.
What do you hope to learn and do this season?
I would like to learn how to use the shop tools. I scouted at Cow Town (an off-season competition) and I would like to do this again during the 2013 season.

What is your past experience in FIRST?
I became interested in engineering because of FIRST. My grandpa took me to camps that used the FLL board. I enjoyed participating in those camps and learning how to build and program the NXT. When I was a sophomore, I went to a FRC regional that my grandpa’s team was participating in. I was inspired and wanted to have a team that I could be apart of. I was co-caption of Team Neutrino #3928 the 2012 season.
What are you looking forward to most this season?
I absolutely love the atmosphere of the FIRST Robotics Competition. I can’t wait to go to the regionals. I also am looking forward to working in the shop and getting to know the new team members.
What do you hope to learn and do this season?
I would like to learn how to use the different machines in the shop and improve on the skills that I gained last year. I would also like to improve my leadership skills.

What is your past experience in FIRST?
When I was in early elementary school, my dad took me to the FLL competition at Iowa State University. As I watch the robots do their missions, I knew that when I was old enough I wanted to do FLL. At Ames Middle School I was on an FLL team for two years and had a great experience. I decided to continue in the FIRST program with FRC, when I heard about Team Neutrino.
What are you looking forward to most this season?
I am excited to have the opportunity to help build a robot, using expensive tools with mentors who have experience.
What do you hope to learn and do this season?
I am interested in programming. I know a little Java, and would like to learn program in Java well.

What is your past experience in FIRST?
I was the Co-Captain of the team last year, and spent A LOT of time in the shop last season.
What are you looking forward to most this season?
I am looking forward to being back in to robotics again this year, and hope it goes even better than last year.
What do you hope to learn and do this season?
I hope to help in robot planning, fabrication, and assembly, and I am hoping learn more about CAD and maybe work some with the auto-mills.

What is your past experience in FIRST?
I have been involved in FIRST since 2008, starting as a student on Team 1710 The Ravonics Revolution. I was the Chief Information Officer for 1710 in 2009, which involved overseeing the construction of the website, animations, banners for the pit, graphics for the robot and the design of the robot using CAD.
Since then, I have helped mentor this team (3928) since 2012 as the lead business mentor for the team, and then filling in gaps where needed.
What is one of your professional goals this year?
As far as Team Neutrino goes, I would like to see the team be an alliance captain again this year in both of the regionals that we are attending, as well as ultimately win one of the two regionals and make it to champs.
What is a fun fact about you?
When I’m not building robots, I enjoy spending time with my hedgehog, Churro.

I helped 2502 when I could during my freshman and sophomore years in college. Recently, I have been mentoring team 3928. I have been with the team since our rookie season in 2012.
What is one of your professional goals this year?
I will actively balance my school work, jobs, mentoring, and personal life so I succeed in all of these areas of my life.
